NAMS Certified Menopause Practitioner

The North American Menopause Society (NAMS), the recognized leading resource nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting women’s health and quality of life through an understanding of menopause and healthy aging, created a competency certification, the NAMS Certified Menopause Practitioner (NCMP) Certification, to recognize those individuals who are the definitive resource for accurate, unbiased information about menopause.  As of September 2022, less than 1300 healthcare providers in the US have demonstrated the proficiency necessary to obtain the comprehensive NCMP certification.  Dr. Kostacos is only one of 3 NCMP providers in Montgomery county and the only practicing NCMP in Horsham, PA.

“I love really connecting with my patients, allowing them to feel heard, and sharing in their health successes, as well as walking alongside them through their struggles. I believe that providing the most evidence-based medical care is one piece of what makes a successful therapeutic relationship. Giving the patient the time and attention to find their voice and empowerment in the health care partnership allows for even better care and patient satisfaction.”

Letter from Dr. Kostacos

I love my patients.  It is one of the best parts of practicing medicine. Not only do I get to meet so many unique and interesting patients, but I get to really know them and develop a trusting relationship with them.  I strive to provide compassionate and comprehensive medical care to my patients. I am comfortable taking care of the most medically complex patients, as I have my entire career.

I believe everyone has a voice and deserves to be heard. Women's Health has been a particular interest of mine throughout my life, and I feel it is time to change the historic lack of focus on women in primary care. I am an ally for the LGBTQ+ community and feel very strongly about equality, rights, freedom, and protection for all. I am also deeply concerned about the mental health of our society, especially our youth, and believe in the access to and destigmatizing of mental health services.

It is the utmost honor to earn the trust of patients, so they feel safe enough to share honestly and put their medical care in my hands. I respect that trust and those relationships wholeheartedly. There is nothing more satisfying than being of service to patients and helping them.

I hope to earn your trust and create a health care partnership allows for even better care.
